Coronavirus and Lockdown
We are getting requests for help from people who do not want to return to the same way of living and consuming as we had prior to Lockdown.  This has encouraged us to create a Greening Pack that you can use during Lockdown to engage your community enabling you all to find ways to become more sustainable, whilst having some fun during this awful time.

We believe this could give people some activities away from thinking about Coronavirus, and supply something positive, achievable, and fun for the community to take part in - hopefully lifting spirits.

These are the first steps you need to take to find a new sustainable path.
There are a further 6 Phases covering a programme for transforming your community.

This is a blueprint aimed for use by 
Parish Councils, Community Action Teams, Community Associations, Town Councils and similar bodies.

If each community acts on Climate Change, using a structured/shared approach, we will create a patchwork of sustainable communities across the country.   This blue print tackles community engagement, behaviour change, community sustainability, ​& adaptation to a changing climate.

Phase 1
Engagement & behaviour change

Using the specialist pack, get everyone in your community to join together and make 5 significant changes to their lifestyle.  Find out how much CO2 you have all saved together! Get your community working together to tackle your effects on climate change!

Phase 2
Links with Environment

Using the specialist support packs, work together in your community to protect your local environment.  If everyone looks after their own patch, we create a huge patchwork quilt covering and protecting the earth.

Phase 3 
What is a sustainable community?

Work with experienced people to discover options for making your community sustainable  Energy, transport, food, clothing, etc etc.  Build a picture of what might be possible by using the support packs provided

Phase 4
Deciding sustainable solutions for your community

The whole community will bring input and expertise to build your vision for your community - you will decide how this will work and how far you want to go using the support pack to guide you!

Phase 5
Adapting to a different climate

A Community Adaptation Toolkit which helps you evaluate the risks climate change will bring to your community.  It leads you to possible solutions and finds how your community can adapt and flourish.

Phase 6
​It officially becomes part of your community plan

Because everyone has been working with their Parish, Town Council and their local government, the solutions slot cleanly into the full plan for the future.

Phase 7
Watch the carefully laid plans become a reality, enabled by the community taking account of all needs and aspirations!

The Greening Campaign is about communities & landscape

We began to destroy our world by making small changes to our lifestyles over the last hundred years. If we each make small changes to be greener and cleaner, those changes will again add up to make a healthy, richer happier future. 
​We owe it to ourselves, future children, and our planet.
